50% gold for the Frankfurt team

sst_eindh.jpg Well, Eindhoven may not be the typical destination for a long weekend, but for those of you in the know, it is well-known for its annual sports tournament held every October.  And this year it proved more fun than any year before for the FVV athletes who participated...  and not just enjoyable, but also quite successful:  every second FVV'ler brought home a gold medal.  OK, OK, there weren't that many FVV'lers in Eindhoven this year...

And a party it was!

jubiparty.jpg 25 Years FVV – now that's a reason to celebrate!  FVV invited its members and special guests from politics, sports and the "scene" to the CK Club on 1 October 2010, to reflect back on the past quarter of a century, to look forward to the future and to just have a fun time.  So take a look at who drank anniversary champagne with whom...  and why there might be a chance for a revival of our traditional Summer Festival in the Grüneburgpark...

New Head of Finance; former logo reinstated

mv_09.jpg Several important decisions concerning the future of our club were made at FVV's special general meeting held on 28 May 2010.  In addition to the election of a new Head of Finance to the club board, the members also voted on a simplified way of inviting members to FVV general meetings, the format of the club logo, and...  one motion was adopted unanimously...

Twin towns and sponsorship programs

budapest.jpg Budapest is a twin town of Frankfurt, as well as some other attractive cities in Europe and around the world.  In addition to Budapest, Frankfurt is also an official "twin" to Toronto, Milan, Prague and Cracow.  That's nice, but what does this have to do with FVV and athletes from Frankfurt's twin towns?  A whole bunch!  Frankfurt financially supports the exchange of its citizens with those of its twin towns, preferably regularly and in both directions, that is, we visit them, they visit us!
