DancingTanzen

Dancing? For many, a ghastly memory of pubescent middle schoolers in braces that unwillingly stepped on your feet once a week and then sweated beneath the eyes of the parents at the graduation dance. After that, you swore, “never again!”

Let us show you that dancing can be completely different. Few types of sport develop coordination, a sense of rhythm and of body position – and, by the way, a bootylicious butt - like dance! With us, there’s a reason to move! Join us Mondays for beginners or experts – dancing with Berk, our magnificent and funny dance instructor or with our cooperation partner Artemis.

  • You find the dance music of Victor Silvester and company completely dreary? Have no fear! Berk also plays the current danceable hits.
  • You don’t know what to wear? With us, everything is relaxed. Just come as you are. Top hat and tails are not required.
  • You think you can’t move? We’ll show you how it goes.
  • You don’t have a dance partner? No problem! Should you not find anyone acceptable in our singles exchange, then one of us will dance with you for a start.
  • You have no more excuses? Excellent! Then come along and have fun! We look forward to seeing you!

Do I have to come regularly to the training?

No, regular attendance is not required, but the more often you attend, the better you'll get.

Who may attend?

Beginners' training is open for all FVV and Artemis members. Previous dance experience is not necessary.

Advanced Training: Basic knowledge of standard and Latin dance is required; or, you have already completed a beginner's course. You must also be a member of either Artemis and/or FVV.

What should I bring with?

If possible, dance shoes, and a desire to dance.

Training format

Beginners' training: The basic steps in the various standard and Latin dances are taught by our trainers.

Advanced Training: In-depth training continues to teach you more of the various standard and Latin dances. We train the steps you know and teach you many new ones, with training conducted by our "professional" trainers.

Does it cost any more than the basic FVV membership fee?

There is an additional fee of 8 Euros per month.

Does the group also participate in tournaments and workshops?

So far we have no couple that participates in tournaments. However, we are hoping that someone will be ready for the 2016 international championship in equality dancing that will take place in Frankfurt.
